"Top Marks for Centauro Alicante"
I was seen immediately at Alicante office and was offered an excellent vehicle - I was grateful for upgrade and loved the car. I’d booked directly via the website so didn’t pay for the second driver. Return was smooth, efficient and helpful. Excellent service at a reasonable price. Thank you.

"They took €1200 from our card as a payment instead of a guarantee"
Its the second time we choose Centauro, but what happened is shocking. At the desk they tried selling us an additional insurance, because we already had additional insurance we said no. When getting the receipt we saw they actually did charge us the additional costs! I went back to the desk, when asking to fix it the agent became extremely verbally agressive and angry. I said our booking - like always - had a €1200 warrantee on the card which is blocked until the car is returned. He said the extra cost was refunded on the card and the €1200 was blocked.

What happened today? My card was declined everywhere I used it. When calling the bank it appears the agent took the 1200€ from our visa card, not as a guarantee but as a PAYMENT! This is outrageous! We cant use our card to pay for the hotel and food, its a disaster for our holiday. We are in a lot of trouble because of this.

Called them to fix it but no one is willing to help. I need my €1200 back!

"By far the best…"
I’ve used several firms at Alicante airport for my rental car over the past 10 years, and Centauro are by far the best firm I’ve used. Consistenty, they deliver a top class service and great quality vehicles.

"Centauro Takes Unauthorized Card Payments"
3 months after I rented a car with Centauro, they charge nearly £100 to my card for 'traffic violations'; without any documentation from any authority.

Using my card details without my permission or a valid direct debit is a crime here in the UK.

"Exceptional Centauro"
We have just returned from a trip to Italy and centauro at Milan Malpensa were first class from beginning to end.
Collected from T2 promptly. Free upgraded vehicle on arrival. Very new and very clean. No upselling, and sorted in 5 minutes.
On return, dropped my wife and kids at the airport then returned the car. Greeted immediately on arrival at the rental office, fuel checked, refund on fuel deposit initiated and then whisked back to the airport (deposit back in my count the following day). From dropping my wife and kids at the airport to returning took about 15 minutes!
Very impressed and it really took the sting out of the stressful part of any trip, especially with children. I would recommend those with families leave the non driver and the kids at a nice airport cafe and pick them up after. Makes it very smooth and no lugging luggage around!
Thank you centauro, we really appreciate the way we were treated and we will not look elsewhere in the future.

"We have used Centaura for our regular…"
We have used Centaura for our regular last 3 visits to Spain (Alicante ) ,we found them excellent on all from start to finish.
My personal recommendation for piece of mind is to go for the full insurance cover.

"All ok until I returned the car"
All ok until I returned the car, they assured me that the whole of the fuel deposit would be refunded, but it has not be and they are not answering my emails

"Another great car rental from Centauro"
Great selection of cars, good price, very easy pick up/drop off and a quick refund for unused fuel. All in all a hassle free car hire experience, just as it should be.

"Seems I’m not alone…"
Seems I’m not alone in having difficulty getting my deposit back. Rented a car in Alicante on the 27th March and took out their Smart Cover insurance. Roll forward to May and I’ve still not received my fuel deposit back, despite returning the car with a full tank. Several emails and contact forms sent with no response other than the usual, we will respond in 7-10 days (I wish they would). Not quite sure this company has a customer service function!

The staff is very kind and professional. They were fast, no waiting at all and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Will recommend Centauro Alicante Airport over and over again.

"Booked a weeks car hire in Corfu"
Booked a weeks car hire in Corfu, paid for full insurance cover, I was then told when picking up the car that as I had no credit card (Which was never mentioned previously all through the booking process) I had to pay a non refundable extra fee of 133 Euro's, since arriving back in the UK I have noticed it was put down on the paperwork as 'Smart Cover' so basically I was ripped off for extra cover despite paying for full cover, I will now intend to claim back the fee even if I have to go down the legal route, don't use this company they will scam you.

"We rented a car with full insurance…"
We rented a car with full insurance coverage. Start to finish we received excellent service. We were collected promptly from terminal B. The car and contracts were ready once we arrived. We were upgraded to a Ford Kuga. Great car. Service at the counter was friendly and efficient. With the full insurance our car only cost us €100 for 4 days. No worries if it got any scratches. Just be sure to fill the tank as you return it. Galp petrol station is only 2 minutes away. Easy location for the highway too. 10 out of 10 for great service. 👍

"Bad experience with Centauro in Bologna, Italy"
I booked an Automatic Transmission (rental agreement IR23023064 230213-132157 )and paid for it on Centauro web site. On arrival to Bologna Centauro office, I was told that they never had automatic transmission cars... I was forced to take a car with manual transmission. This made a lot of inconveniences for me and my wife, since we did not use manual cars for more than 20 years. When returning the car, I was told that Centauro would compensate for not providing the ordered car within a week, but this did not happen . In the last month, I twice approached Centauro through their web site. The automatic responses claimed that Centauro would get back to me within 10 days, but this also did not happen.
